During the London 2012 Olympic Games, over 200 athletes and members of their entourage filled a room to listen and learn from the likes of Kobe Bryant, Coach Krzyzewksi, Sir Clive Woodward and Sergey Bubka about the fundamental role of the coach and athlete relationship.
Given the great success of the event, the Commission is hosting two Coaches and Entourage Nights during the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games – one in the coastal village and one in the mountain village.
The events are designed to offer a panel discussion, led by Bill Morris, followed by a Q&A session. Emphasis will be placed on the role of the entourage as a central part of the athlete’s support staff.
