Launched during the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, the IOC Athlete MOOC is a sports education website offering you the chance to learn from some of the best sporting minds in the world – for free!
More than 3,500 athletes from 189 countries have accessed the platform, which offers courses on key subjects such as nutrition, psychology, leadership, sports technology and injury prevention.
We’ve teamed up with Olympic champions, world-renowned coaches and leading academic institutions to bring you exclusive insight available to watch at any time.
You can hear how Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn prepares herself mentally for a big race; how Cristiano Ronaldo captured knowledge to become one of the best footballers in the world; and how the Dutch gymnastics team learnt to perform under pressure in order to strike gold at the London 2012 Games.
There’s also a chance for you to interact with other athletes from around the world in our forums, and certificates of achievement for anyone who achieves 100% in a course. With an exciting new course launched every month, in English and French, it’s a great way to improve your performance for free. To find out more, click the link below.

Andy covers key topics such as social media, interview techniques and how to use the media to enhance your own profile, as well as offering advice and guidance on what you can be doing now to prepare for a potential career in the media.
Further to Andy’s insightful lectures, hear from Olympic medallists Michael Johnson, Jonathan Edwards and Colin Jackson, who each talk about their successful transition into a media career.

As an extension to each of our courses, we have hosted a number of live events in which we speak exclusively with some of the world’s highest achieving athletes and professionals, and give you the opportunity to ask them your own questions.
Over the past few months we have spoken with Olympic medallists Heather Moyse, Becky Scott and Charmaine Crooks, as well as chatting to internationally renowned coaches Sir Dave Brailsford and Sir Clive Woodward.
Our most recent live event was with the modern pentathlon Olympic silver medallist, and current world champion, Samantha Murray. We chatted to her about the increased media exposure she has experienced since winning silver at the London 2012 Games.
We hope you enjoy using the IOC Athlete MOOC and find it an informative place for your learning.
